ABOUT MARKO
Marko Kavticnik was born in Slovej Gradec, Slovenia on August 15, 1965 and grew up in Prevalje.
At the age of 7, he started playing Trumpet in a local Wind-Band. After finishing elementary school, he decided that music would be his profession. He went to College to study music in the capital of Slovenia (Ljubljana) and attended the Academy for Music at the University of Ljubljana.
After serving the Yugaslavia Army in 1985, he started to perform as a trumpet player and singer. Since 1988 he has been running his own business which has mostly to do with music and events.
Since 2017, has been coming to Old World in Huntington Beach, where he became friends with the owner of the Old World Restaurant, Bernie Bischof and Bernie’s family.
He plays more than ten different instruments and sings in ten languages. His repertoire is wide: traditional German and European Music, Swing Music, Instrumentals, Country Music, etc.
Marko has met a lot of wonderful people over the years while performing at Old World, including his wife Nicole Hauptmann. They were recently married in June 2023 in Slovenia. They enjoy traveling between his hometown in Slovenia and her hometown of Williams, AZ.
Every year, Marko looks forward to returning to the Old World and working alongside the Old World Crew.

Seating is first come, first serve.
- Live Music takes place in the RESTAURANT, BIERGARTEN and FESTIVAL HALL. You can find out where the event will take place in the event description above.
- Live Music does not take reservations.
OUR OUTSIDE GRILL(S):
Outside grill(s) is open during LIVE MUSIC. Our full menu will NOT be available.

OUR RESTAURANT:
The Restaurant is separate from LIVE MUSIC. The Restaurant is open Monday through Sunday.

- Come early and enjoy dinner at the RESTAURANT, order from our Restaurant menu and enjoy HAPPY HOUR!
- The restaurant ONLY takes reservations for groups 8 and more. Call 714-895-8020 ext. 108
- HAPPY HOUR is $2 OFF DRINKS and is only available INSIDE the main RESTAURANT & BAR on Wednesday through Friday from 3pm-6pm.
CONCERT PARKING:
Parking is always FREE at Old World!
- Parking is located in the high rise structure off Huntington Village Lane and Center Ave. behind the Hotel Huntington Beach or at the high rise in the Bella Terra parking lot. Follow the Old World Parking signs located on Huntington Village Lane.
- DO NOT PARK IN THE EAST OR WEST OF OLD WORLD VILLAGE PARKING LOTS. Violators will be towed.

- Pets are welcome at our BIERGARTEN outdoor patio area.
- No pets allowed inside TICKETED CONCERTS. Only service animals allowed.
- The entire area is dog-friendly EXCEPT for FRIDAYS and SATURDAYS after 6pm when we have TICKETED CONCERTS
